Leave your hiking poles in the car and prepare for the best views in the park. Overlooking Half Dome, Yosemite Valley and three iconic waterfalls, a visit to Glacier Point is a must-do during any trip to Yosemite. Located about 50-minutes from Big Trees Lodge, plan on arriving early to watch the sunrise over the mountains. To round out your morning, Compass & Key recommends following your visit with two nearby hikes to Sentinel Dome and Taft Point.
Alternatively, end a day of hiking with a visit to Glacier Point for spectacular star gazing.

Seasonal Closures: The road to Glacier Point is closed seasonally from November through May. Cross-country skiers can access the site during the winter.
